CRYOLIPOLYSIS

New in Basel! Cryolipolysis takes advantage of the fact that fat cells are more susceptible to cold than the surrounding tissue. A non-invasive applicator is applied to the desired area. It cools the underlying fat tissue while protecting skin, nerves, muscles and other tissues. Apoptosis (controlled cell death) is induced in the cooled fat cells and they are gradually broken down. This reduces the thickness of the fat layer in the problem zone by up to 30%.

During the procedure, exposure to cold causes apoptosis of the fat cells, which leads to the release of cytokines and other inflammatory mediators. During about three months after the procedure, inflammatory cells gradually degrade the affected fat cells.

Lipids are therefore slowly released from the fat cells and transported away by the lymphatic system for processing, which leads to this significant reduction in the circumference of the affected area.

Clinical studies proved that the cold procedure leads to a clearly measurable fat reduction of the treated area in professionally selected clients within 1 to 3 months after the treatment. 4 to 6 weeks after the first treatment, another and then up to a third treatment can be performed to lose even more girth.
